Cherrapunjee in Meghalaya

The place is worth a visit due to the impressive view of the gorges in the dry season and huge waterfalls in the monsoons. There is also the panoramic view of the plains going down to neighboring country, Bangladesh.

Cheerapunjee is well connected by road to the other Northestern states of India. The nearest station is Guwahati. The nearest airport to Cheerapunjee is Guwahati. There is also a helicopter service between Guwahati and Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya, from where you can drive to Cheerapungee.

Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh

Dharamshala is a bustling tourist destinations but that’s not all. Surrounding it are ancient temlples, picturesque lakes and silent spots where you can connect with nature and one’s inner self.

The town is perched on the high slopes in the upper reaches of the Kangra Valley. It is a charming town with elegant bungalows nestling in thick conifer forests. It is also the home of the Dalai Lama, Spiritual head of the Buddhists, who is now quartered at McLeodganj. Little Lhasa is an enchanting world where spinning prayer wheels and fluttering flags spread the message of peace and universal harmony.

Dharamshala is accessible from Manali by bus. You can drive from Delhi via Chandigarh, Kiratpur, Bilaspur for a 12 hour journey. Pathankot is the nearest railhead. Trains from all over the country halt at Pathankot and from here; it is a three hour journey to Dharamshala. The nearest airport is Gaggla which is 13 km away.

Madikeri in Bangalore

Madikeri is a proud of its beauty, vardant hills and valleys clothed in thick forests of sandalwood and plantains of coffee, pepper and cardamom. The weather throughout the season is very pleasant and has many attractions for a visitor.

The nearest airports are at Bangalore and Mangalore. The nearest railhead is at Mysore which is 145 km. Frequent bus services operate from Bangalore, Mysore, Mangalore, Hassan etc.
